Lower Machen is situated on the A468 trunk road between Newport and Caerphilly, see this Google Map for directions.

From M4 Motorway

• Turn off at Junction 28
• At roundabout take the turning signposted Risca and Brynmawr (A467) and at next two roundabouts follow A468, signposted Caerphilly.
• Lower Machen is approx 2 miles on from second roundabout . Pass under an old railway bridge and watch out for the right hand turning for the village, situated just after a parking bay.

From Caerphilly

• From Caerphilly follow signs to Newport (A468) and continue through the villages of Trethomas and Machen.
• At Bedwas Bridge Roundabout take 3rd exit A468 (signposted Newport)
• About three quarters of a mile after leaving Machen watch out for left hand turning into village.
