Daytime concerts

(Entry to all Daytime Concerts is FREE)

This year the Festival will be presenting three short concerts during the day – a great opportunity for those of you who find it difficult to get out in the evenings to enjoy a taste of the Festival spirit.

The concerts on 26, 27 & 28 June are promoted in partnership with Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Arts Department and Library Services.

Tuesday 24 June, 11am
Machen Library
Philippa Reeves (mezzo-soprano)
and Dan Jones (guitar)

Wednesday 25 June, 11am
Ystrad Mynach Library
Toreth
Traditional melodies for fiddle, melodeon and voice from Guto Dafis and Gareth Westacott – you can almost breathe in the smell of wood smoke and wine…

Thursday 26 June, 11am
Nelson Library
Harriet Earis (celtic harp)
Drawing on Scotland and Ireland for her repertoire, Harriet Earis plucks her way through jigs, reels and hornpipes with sparkling verve. Look out for infectious high energy and a pretty funky left hand – not to be missed!

Friday 27 June, 9.30am & 2.30pm
Malpas & Rogerstone Libraries
Storytelling with David Ambrose

Designed by Design Stage, Cardiff Bay ℗ 2005
Hosted by Namesco.
