In recent years few young Quartets have earned such critical accolades as the Sacconi Quartet. “That's what I call live performance!” wrote one critic in
The Observer whilst, elsewhere, they have walked off with first prize in several major competitions. They make their first visit to Lower Machen with Quartets by Mozart and Schubert together with the eagerly-awaited Quartet by John Metcalf – a journey both spiritual and physical propelled forward with “songlines”.
The festival sensation, the young Sacconi Quartet completely bowled over a packed audience. The chemistry between these four young players is tangible and magical. The Scotsman.
