Friday 23 June 10pm
Late Night Recital
Keith Tippett (piano)

St Michael’s Church, Lower Machen

One of the most influential and innovative pioneers in contemporary British jazz, pianist Keith Tippett first gained widespread attention in the late 60s and early 70s for his piano / keyboard playing on the recordings of King Crimson, Soft Machine, Elton Dean and Peter Sinfield.

Since that time he has been at the forefront of contemporary European jazz as a composer, educator and big band leader and his intense performances as a solo pianist open up a unique and rich world of fantasy, energy and meditative lyricism.

Tickets £7.50 & £4.50 (Concessions)

NB Save money if you book for this performance and the recital by Freddy Kempf at the same time.
